Technology down to the finest detail

Technology down to the finest detail

Painting has to fulfil a wide range of requirements, depending on the task in hand. It can be used to give parts a decorative appearance, to maintain their value, or to fulfil various technical requirements.

Painting is also ideal for better identification or designation of parts.

Effect painting is not only used for bodywork parts today. Small parts increasingly need a quality finish, too. In order to guarantee the optimum result, the coating material generally has to be pre-warmed. The painting itself takes place in hot-barrels, which rotate steadily during painting.

A specially-adjusted spray nozzle system sprays the paint onto the rotating small parts, perfectly evenly, and without them sticking together.

Painting and drying all in one

Requirements on the painting, e.g. for ZIPS

  • Fully painted all round and inside
  • Complete mobility of the parts must be maintained
  • Painting required in an infinite number of colours
  • Painting must be toxicologically harmless (EN 71-3)
  • The coating must withstand chemical cleaning, as well as repeated household washing up to 95°C
  • Even surfaces and consistent results
  • Either matt, or high-gloss, "just as the customer ordered"
  • Mechanical resistance in the long-term test
  • Resistant to perspiration and saliva
  • Ecologically incompatible, e.g. using water-based paint systems
  • The handle of aluminium, the body of zamak: the paint system must also be able to adhere to different materials
  • Economical and value-enhancing

Quality assurance

Quality assurance

Quality assurance measures are a matter of course at ROTOVER.

We regularly check:

  • Colour
  • Appearance
  • Layer thickness
  • Adhesion
  • and defined resistance properties

Further defined customer-specific testing specifications can also be integrated into processes on request.
